On 27th February 2023, Mr. Shashi Tharoor had a talk show ‘Lungleng’ in Nagaland. He was expected to deliver a speech at this event. Considering his English Vocabulary and usage of heavy terms that makes it difficult for the general public to understand him, a man arrived with Oxford dictionary at this event due to the same reason.
Reportedly, this show was hosted by R Lunglend and the Congress MP interacted with the youth of the state. A video of a man sitting on a chair with the Oxford dictionary in his lap has gone viral. This incident has left the netizens amused.
The video was shared on Twitter showing that a person in Nagaland had brought an Oxford English dictionary to gauge the vocabulary in Shashi Tharoor’s talk. This video was captioned as ‘Bringing a dictionary along was considered a joke statement until I saw this’.
In December 2021, Mr. Tharoor had tweeted ‘Word of the day – Allodoxaphobia’ making a satirical reference to the current government.
