Adding to the craziness of Indian weddings, another incident from Sultanganj village in Bhagalpur, Bihar, has left people shocked. Apparently, a groom actually forgot to attend his own wedding after he got drunk while celebrating one night before.
Reportedly, the bride and her family were left hanging as they awaited the groom’s arrival who never arrived on the wedding day. The groom regained consciousness the next day and made his way towards the bride’s house. However, the bride and her family were completely humiliated so the bride refused to get married to him.
After spending a large amount of money on the daughter’s wedding, the bride’s family demanded that the groom and his family must return all the money spent on their ceremonies.
The situation escalated and some of the groom’s relatives were kept hostage by the bride’s family. The police had to get involved and mitigate the matter. When the police arrived, they quickly resolved the matter and later reported that a settlement had been reached between the two families.
