Cheetahs reintroduced at Kuno to eat Congress’ adivasi voters: Congress MLA

On 6th February 2023, Pragilal Jatav, Congress MLA from Madhya Pradesh reportedly said that the cheetahs which have been brought to Kuno National Park might group up in due course of time to eat up some of the Congress voters. Further, he accused the current government of conspiring against this opposition party.

MLA Jatav represents the Karera assembly seat of Shivpuri and reportedly he was addressing a public meeting when he made such allegations. A video of his speech is also circulating across social media platforms where he was heard saying that Congress cares for all the sections of the society whereas BJP is a party of animals. It seems that the BJP government has spent Rs 117 crores on bringing Cheetahs to Kuno National Park to reduce the number of Congress voters according to him.

It is known that eight (08) cheetahs have been brought to Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh from Namibia last year and are set to be released in the wild in Kuno. Later, MLA Jatav denied saying any such thing in this context and stated that he meant when the cheetahs are released in the wild, they have the possibility of attacking the locals going in the jungle posing a serious danger for them.
