A public marriage proposal on the beach took an unpleasant twist after the man lost the ring in the sand as captured by a viral tiktok video. The video clip cut to a shot of numerous people walking across the pile of lights and scanning the ground to find the ring. The caption of the video said ‘Coogee takes its newest victim’ that may be a reference to Coogee Beach in Coogee, Australia. It has over 1.8 million views.

The woman in the video commented ‘Pro tip from my fiancé: don’t propose with a loose ring on sand’. On the other hand, many users congratulated the couple on their big day. Further, this act only reminded TikTok users that public proposals are highly risky and many couples in real life have done away with is idea of proposal.

Later, in a comment it was confirmed that they were able to find the ring. The same was also confirmed by another TikTok user who filmed the proposal from a different angle.
